Virginia Dunbar Soule, R.N.
Ginny passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Aug. 11, 2015 at the age of 94, 310 days after the death of Wesley Soule her husband of 71 years. Ginny and Wes were raised in the Norwalk, Ct. United Methodist Church. She was the loving and caring mother of Gregory and Richard, their wives Laurie and Deb and grandmother of Travis, Kara, Kirk, Hannah and Leah. She is reunited in Heaven with Wes and her fully restored son Randal, born with Down Syndrome. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Almira and Jesse T. Dunbar, her sisters Charlotte and Margaret and brother David. After the war, she continued her work as an R.N., most often with very critical cases, working nights so she could be with her children in the daytime. Ahead of her time, she opposed the institutionalization of Randy and worked tirelessly for the humane treatment of the disabled in Connecticut and North Carolina. With her flashing brown eyes, Ginny lived life on her own terms and saw the best in people. Her compassion and loving advice were treasured by many. Visitation at 2pm, service at 3 pm on Sun, Aug. 23 at the First United Methodist Church in Stillwater, Minnesota.
