Warren Duane Reese

Warren Reese, age 92, of Stillwater and Oak Park Heights was born August 3, 1934 in Watford City, ND to Donald and Adelia (Pederson) Reese. At the age of 6 Warren moved with his family to North Hudson WI, where they operated a boarding house owned by his grandparents. The boarding house was used primarily by single men working at the rail yard. After the seventh grade the family moved to Houlton WI, Where he lived until he graduated from Stillwater High School in 1952.

On June 23, 1956, Warren married Janet Drentlaw, his wife of 70 years. Together they made their home in Stillwater, MN and had three daughters, Cary, Julie, and Dianne. Warren and Janet enjoyed traveling the world together.

Warren started working at Andersen Windows at the age of 18. He started in the factory, and later went to the University of Minnesota to take computer programming and business management courses. At the time of his retirement in 1990 he supervised the Technical Support Group.

Warren enjoyed many fishing trips with his friends and family. He always made his daughter's bait their own line and take the fish off the hook. Warren often went deer hunting with neighbors, but he never carried a gun, just went along for the camaraderie. He also loved to golf with his buddies frequently.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Yvonne Teed, Claire Beer, and Beverly Maxey, his dear friend and brother-in-law Bill Jewell, as well as many work friends, coffee buddies at the Oasis Café, and golfing pals.

He is survived by his wife Janet; daughters Cary (Troy) Johnston, Julie (Dave) Malek, Dianne (David) Reese-Banner; grandsons Tony Tuckenhagen and Cameron Malek; sisters Donna Jewell and Janice Heckel, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Warren's caregivers Angela and Charelotte whose loving care enabled him to live at home until the end, and to Lakeview Hospice for keeping him comfortable through his last few months.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
