Wayne "Boomer" A. Austad
Age 85 of Ramsey, formerly of Minneapolis
Passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025 after a hard battle of complications with dementia. He was a 27 year employee with Minneapolis Water Department and retired in 2002.
Preceded in death by wife, Sandra in 2001; parents, Anton and Alma Austad; brothers, Jerry and Kermit; sister, Darlene.
Survived by children, Ronald (Deena), Theresa (Walter); foster son, Dale Nelson; grandchildren, Kevin, Kimberly (Kohl), Shaen, and Kenneth; brother, Earl; sisters, Sylvia, Laverne, and Shirley; many other nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thank you to Kori, for being a great aide for Wayne for over 2 years.
Funeral Service Noon Friday, January 24th at Bradshaw, 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S, Minneapolis, with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment to follow at 2pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
