Wilbert E. Showers

Wilbert E. Showers, age 84 of Stillwater, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023.

He was a former Wisconsin Air National Guard member and retired Air Traffic Controller. Wilbert was born in Mt. Horeb, WI to Wilbert E. and Cora Showers. He graduated from Madison East High School. On June 24, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Donna J. Baker. They were blessed across the decades with love, laughter, and two children. He loved his granddaughters, golf, airplanes, street rods, and his Corvette.

Wilbert is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; two sisters; and in-laws on his wife's side.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Donna; children, Bret (Mikki) and Lisa (Gilby); granddaughters, Anna (Eric), Erika (James), Kayla (Nick), and Cora (Jovi); two great-granddaughters, Hollis and Audra; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service 11am Thursday, October 26th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Private Family Interment at Highland Memory Gardens in Madison, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice in Stillwater, MN.
