On December 3, 2025, William (Bill) Thomas Branham Jr. 88 years young, was called to join his loving wife, Kathleen (Kathy) Marie Thomas Branham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Branham Sr. and Ida Elanor Vater Branham and his daughter, Deborah Marie Branham Criner.
He is survived by his son, Thomas William Branham (Debra), and blessed with 6 grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Matthew, Ian, Brianna and Ashlee as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
Bill was born on June 14, 1937, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. In 1940, he and his parents moved to Rice Lake, Wisconsin and eventually moved to the Twin Cities. Bill graduated from Southwest High School in 1955. He had a very fun and humorous personality which he carried with him throughout his long life. June 14, 1958, Bill married the love of his life Kathy and moved to Florida where he had a good career in the sales industry. It was there that Bill & Kathy raised their two children, Debbie and Tom. In the early 1980’s they moved back to Minnesota to once again be reunited with extended family.
Bill loved his sports teams especially the Minnesota Twins. It was his love of sports that became a special connection for him and Tom over the years.
One of Tom’s favorite early life memories of time spent with his dad was when Bill was a co-leader of, what was originally called, Indian Guides troop in which Bill and Tom were members. It was a program which encouraged the bonding between father and son. One of the requirements was for each member to choose a fun name for themselves. Bill’s name choice was Dirty Chicken. Tom says, “Rest in peace Dirty Chicken!”
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held sometime in the spring of 2026, details to be provided at a later date.
At this time, the family requests no flowers or memorials be sent.
