Rev. William "Bill" Russell Straka

Rev. William "Bill" Russell Straka, 85 of Oak Park Heights, MN died July 13 after a long illness. He was born April 25, 1941, to Harold and Margaret in Waterloo, IA.

Bill married Carol at Wartburg Seminary. He was pastor to Lutheran churches in Minnesota, before serving as a chaplain at a senior home and hospital in Iowa. Bill's strong faith and love for people, especially family, were inspirational.

Survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol; sons, Jeff (Kate) and Josh (Katie); grandchildren, John, Henry, and Greta; sister-in-law, Beth (David); and sister, Nancy (Tom). He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David.

Memorial Service 11am July 23rd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater with visitation beginning one hour prior. Memorials: Boutwells Landing Employee Appreciation or Scholarship Funds.
