Yia Kha Xiong

Yia Xiong (1944 - 2025)

Yia Xiong, 81, of St. Paul, MN, died at Regions Hospital on Sunday December 7, 2025.

She was born in Laos on September 24, 1944 to Pa Doua Xiong and Youa Vang. She got married sometime before the Vietnam War and after her husband deceased she fled Laos to Thailand with her three children and arrived in America in 1986 settled in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1993 she relocated to Wausau, Wisconsin. She lived there until 2021 and moved to live in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a loving mother and grandmother for all her children and grandchildren.

Yia was preceded in death by her husband, Chong Moua Kha; daughter, Tia Kha; brother Xai Her Xiong, two sisters Mai Chou Yang and Mai Saw Xiong. And is survived by her brother Chong Ger Xiong, her sisters Kha Vang, Dia Vang, Ye Yang and Nor Thao; and sons Yauna Kha (Chou Thao), Xiong Kha (Kong Thao) and Txer Zhon Kha (Pa Houa Kha), and 17 grand kids.
