Albert K. Carlson
Age 100 of Bloomington and South Minneapolis. Passed away February 6, 2015. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine and his son, Charles, both in 2014. He is survived by his grandson, Guy (Paula) and their children, Josh, Shayla, Medori, Naomi, Maxwell and Torque.
Albert began his career working on the railroad in northern Minnesota and later drove the trolley cars in Minneapolis and St. Paul. He ended his career in the grocery business, auditing stores for National Foods, and later working as a supervisor for a Minneapolis vending company. Albert was a Mason, a church trustee, and horse farmer. Albert loved and enjoyed his farm in Sandstone, where he kept and raised his prize horses. Albert had many friends and many stories, as they undoubtedly have of him. When he was 90 he was still driving for the local senior program. When it was time to drive he would tell his friends, "I've got to go drive the old people." Vital until the end, he died quietly at the Masonic Home in Bloomington. Many thanks to Albert's caregivers and the kindness they showed him.
Service Tuesday, February 24, 11 AM at MN MASONIC HOME CHAPEL, 11501 Masonic Home Drive, Bloomington, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
