Beverly Peterson

Beverly M. Peterson, age 87, of Maplewood, MN, passed away on May 26, 2021.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Bertal Paul and Mildred Trew; her sister, Verda Loida, and her beloved husband of 67 years, Richard.

She is survived by her children, Donna, Rick (Shannon), David (Debbie), Laura (Paul) DeLaForest, and Kevin (Christelle); brother-in-laws, Robert (Shirley) Peterson and Jack Loida; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Beverly was devoted to her family. Raising her children with Richard was her greatest joy and greatest accomplishment of her life. Beverly loved singing with the St. Paul Chapter and the City of Lakes Chapter of Sweet Adelines for many years. Richard and Beverly worked together for over 30 years at the Minnesota State Fair. Beverly also loved traveling and she was a great baker, winning many ribbons at the State Fair for her creations. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spoiling them every chance she got. Spending winters in Arizona for 25 years allowed Beverly to continue to sing with her chorus in Gold Canyon.

A Visitation for Beverly will be held at Bradshaw White Bear (4600 Greenhaven Drive), on Tuesday, June 1, from 4:00-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Odilia Catholic Church (3495 N. Victoria St.) on Wednesday, June 2, at 11:00am, with a visitation 1 hour prior at church. Church livestream available below. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Beverly’s family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at Elk Ridge and Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care of Beverly. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice (2076 St. Anthony St., St. Paul, MN 55104) in Beverly’s memory.
