Darlene Albrecht

Darlene Merriley Albrecht, loving sister, aunt, partner, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021 at the age of 78. She is survived by her sister, Lois Schoenthaler; brother, Gary (Helen) Albrecht; many nieces, nephews and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her partner of 50 years, Joan Schmitt; parents Edward and Eunice; and seven siblings. Darlene and Joan found joy in cheering on the Minnesota Wild, going to the casino and playing softball. Dar was a supporter of Little Sisters of the Poor. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. Even after she could no longer attend Mass, she tuned in regularly to EWTN. She asked that special heartfelt love and thank you be offered to the Schmitt family, and dear friend Andrea, for all the love and kindness they’ve given over the years, especially the last three. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Thursday, March 11 at ST. GENEVIEVE PARISH COMMUNITY CENTER, 6995 Centerville Rd, Centerville. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to a charity of the donor’s choice.
