Age 66 of Minneapolis and Mankato

Passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023. He is survived by his longtime love, Barb Downey; daughter, Maryann (Jeremy Springer) Shaff and her mother, Mary Kruchten; daughter and son, Amy (Ben Palma) Shaff, Jeremy Shaff, and their mother, Melody Broad; grandchildren, Isabella, Zach, Hailee, Dakota; siblings, Joyce (Jay) Yurecko, Micheal (Marie) Martin, Wayne Martin, Rosie (Butch) Gilbert, Vicki Ladda, Jim Martin, Basil (Pearline) Martin, Nellie Shaff. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Vasquez.

David was loyal and did his best as a father and friend. He was helpful, cheerful and stubborn, all at the same time, and the hole left by his absence will be as big as his presence ever was.

Memorial service will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 5 with visitation one hour prior.
