Dorothy Wilson

d. April 9, 2020

A mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and niece. Dorothy was an easy person to get along with, and everyone she met loved her outgoing attitude. She possessed a great spirit that will be remembered forever. She was a great caretaker, stretching her concerns for others. Dorothy had lots of spunk, and she loved to dress up every day like her mother. A Diva! Her smile was bright as glitter, which we all know she loved. And that’s the kind of thing that we loved about her. She will truly be missed however; her memories will have a lasting impact on our lives forever. Rest on my sister, RIP.
She left behind four children, Jennifer Morgan, Carlos Shavers, Shawanta Prince (Gary), Winfred Wilson Jr. ;nine grandchildren, Jeffery Polk, Dante Morgan, LA’ DaJia Prince, Christopher Prince, Jovan Freeman, Gary Prince, Tierra Williams, Ray Gaddy, and  LA’Bella Gaddy; three great-grandchildren, Jabarre Bates, Christian Prince and Adain Prince; six sisters, Blondie Shaffer, Diane Guidry, Ella Chambers (Joe), Betty Shavers, Bobbie Shavers, and  Fathon Latoya Shavers; four brothers, John Wesley Shavers Jr., Curtis L. Shavers, Johnny McChriston, Dewitt McChriston; five aunts, Betty McFall, Lee Ethel Hampton, Bobbie Ervin, Shirley Rucker, Mary Ervin; and her 101 year old great-great aunt, Mary Jordan; two uncles, Don Ervin and Jerome McFall. She also left behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her special friend, Brian; and David Brooks, Winfred Wilson, Sr.

Dorothy went home to her parents, Mrs. Ellean Shavers and Mr. John Wesley Shavers, on March 31, 2020. She will be dearly missed. Rest on my sister, RIP.
