George A. Brust

Age 68 of Minneapolis

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 27, 2023.

George was an air traffic controller in Germany during the Vietnam War. He met Cindy on Valentine’s Day in 1977, and they were married for 45 years. Together, they had three children. George worked at the United States Postal Service for 35 years. He was also a private pilot instructor. In his spare time, he loved fishing.

George was preceded in death by his mother, Leota Bancroft Brust; aunts, Anita Chandler and Phyllis Dahl; uncle, Robert Dahl; and cousin, Patricia Kizer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; children, David (Vanessa), Susan, and Michael (Charlene); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joseph, Emma, and Nyla; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service 11am Saturday, February 18th at St. Albert the Great, 2836 33rd Ave S, Minneapolis, with visitation beginning one hour prior.
