Passed away on April 20, 2021.
Helmer is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy”; siblings, Lillian Jorstad, Clara Voigt, and Arthur Voigt.
He is survived by his nephews, Kenneth Jorstad of WA and David Jorstad of FL; niece, Emily Browning of VA; and several grand nieces and nephews.
Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
