Age 89 of Stillwater

Passed away peacefully on August 15, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley; children, Lynn (Ole Christensen), Jeff (Terry), Lisa (Scott Wohlwend), Paul; grandchildren, Anina, Gabe, Mick, Henry, Anna, Jack, Amanda; sister, Marion Kellin; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Anna; brothers, Hank and George.

John was born and raised in St Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from Washington High School, served in the Air Force, and then married Shirley Struntz. John worked at Remington Rand/Sperry/Unisys for 35 years and retired from Unisys in 1991. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, team sports, golf, and especially being with family and friends.

Memorial service will be 3:00pm Friday, August 27 at ST. ANDREW’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, with visitation one hour prior. Masks are highly encouraged. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
