John Pietz

John H. Pietz, age 80 of Minneapolis, MN passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Norma Jean; children, Shawn Pietz, Shelli (Jerry Barham) Pietz; grandchildren, Reina Barham, Lilly and Daisy Pietz and many siblings, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, August Pietz, Ethel (Orval) Wheeler, grandson, Logan Barham and other extended family members.
John took pride in having served in the United States Army as a young man.  He then spent the majority of his career in manufacturing. Outside of work he enjoyed volunteering as a Boy Scout leader, in his church and as a hunting and fishing guide with Capable Partners. He also enjoyed sharing his love for the  wilderness and outdoors with his family. He loved to capture an audience's attention with his jokes and storytelling.  John will be deeply missed.

A memorial service in John's honor will be held May 6th from 2pm to 5pm at Bradshaw, 3131 Minnehaha Ave S. Mpls.55406.  If desired, memorials can be made in John’s name to the Alzheimer's Association.
