Passed away on July 30, 2019.

Survived by children, Craig B., Scott W., Lynn A., Alan J.; grandchildren, Jenny, Monica, Dave, Kimberly, Alex, James, Richard, and Michael; great-granddaughters, Erin, Amber, Lorelei, Adrianna, Amya, and Abigail. Preceded in death by husband, Dale V. Carlson; son, Wayne J.; parents, Gladys and Jim McAdams; 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Married high school sweetheart Dale, June 21, 1945, after his war service in WWII with the US Merchant Marine. Lived in Cedar Rapids, IA, Rochester, NY, Mt. Prospect, IL.,
and Bloomington, MN. Always musical, she sang in elementary school, school musicals, and church choirs, including as a soloist. Started Junior Choir in Mt. Prospect, IL and member, 3M Women’s Choir. She considered the loss of her normal voice to surgery a great tragedy. When husband, Dale, was diagnosed with celiac disease (gluten intolerance), she founded the first support group in Minnesota for the gluten intolerant and as president wrote newsletters, ran meetings, and established branches that continue to this day, 40 years later. Her collection – museum – of over 2600 ladies’ compacts was renowned. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and especially counted cross-stitch.

Funeral Service Saturday, August 10, 1:00 P.M. at CENTENNIAL UMC-ROSEVILLE CAMPUS, 1524 W. Cty Rd C2, Roseville. Visitation one hour prior. Burial Rutherford Cemetery.
