Shirley Ann (Pierzinski) Belisle, age 87, passed away after a long battle with COPD on March 22, 2023, in hospice care with family by her side. Born on January 30, 1936 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Frank and Mayme (Zeck) Pierzinski, Shirley loved her hometown where she graduated from LFHS in 1954. However, she wanted to spread her wings and moved to Minneapolis after graduating where she worked as a telephone operator and later a beautician. She met her husband, Andrew Belisle, when they met at a wedding of family members in Glenwood, Minnesota. They married in 1958 and moved to Somerset, Wisconsin where they raised their six children.

Shirley cherished family time, celebrating holidays and birthdays. Her greatest joys were with her family and watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She really enjoyed watching them do the things they love including wrestling, hockey, baseball and more. It gave her so much joy to watch them love life. She was unable to get out much, so any visits for lunch or coffee were really a highlight for her.

Shirley was a homemaker and active community, school, and church volunteer. She especially enjoyed serving as a scout leader for her five boys and daughter. She was a planner whether for a simple or large event. Even in her hospice time, she planned the food for the family holidays-including the upcoming RibFest for Mother's Day weekend.

Shirley touched a lot of people over the years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, going to the casino, and she loved being with friends. She was not afraid to meet new people or try new things. Everyone who met her knew they were loved. She had a gift and generously shared her creative spirit, food, and hugs with others. Unfortunately, once her macular degeneration advanced and she lost the ability to drive herself, her social life waned. In later years, she found solace in listening to Mass and praying the rosary with EWTN - Catholic News television.

She is now with the Lord. May He guide her through the gates of heaven and reunite her with her loved ones. Family and friends will miss her dearly, especially her loving smile and warm fuzzies.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 45 years, Andrew "Andy" Belisle Sr.; sister, Joyce Selinsky.

Survived by her six children, Ted, Monica (Michael) Petring, Andy Jr., Paul, Chris (Becky), and Pierre Belisle; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Kelly, Dylan (Liz), Justin, Blair and Katherine Petring, Juliauna (Bryce Johnson), Pierre II; two great-grandchildren, Audra and Bryson Johnson; her sister, Virginia Selinsky; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
