William Trautz, Sr.
After a long and full life, William Trautz, Sr. passed away peacefully on June 19th surrounded by his family. Survived by Sara, his loving wife of 67 years and two sons, John (Jill) of Edina and Reid (Mimi) of Fairfax, Virginia, and preceded in death by Bill Trautz, Jr. in 2017. He was the proud grandfather of 7 above-average grandchildren and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
A career employee of 3M he also left a legacy of volunteering over many decades including serving on the boards of Courage Center, the former Phoenix Residence for disabled adults, longtime treasurer of his homeowner’s association, and served his church, formerly North Como Presbyterian, for many years. He was an avid gardener, consummate amateur chef, dog lover, and charter member of the Sports Car Club of America.
A family celebration of life is being planned for late summer.
